The length, size, weight and type of boat, and just how exposed the docking location is, all need to be considered in choosing a dock line size. At Predator we produce two kits for boat users.

◼️Technical information:
▪️Why Double Braided?
Double braided rope contains a core and a cover thus giving added durability. The outer cover provides 20% of the strength and protects the inner core from wear and tear. The core gives strength and elasticity to the rope structure.
▪️What material?
Nylon is considered superior to other types because of its shock absorbing properties. Polypropylene will float but its low breaking strength and that it will degrade rapidly in sunlight do not make it a suitable dock line.
▪️Core
Our core is tested for strength consistently so as to uphold the best standard in the industry. Essentially the core is the load bearing part of the structure providing 80% of the strength. The elasticity of this nylon imparts great performance in shock loading situations.
▪️Cover
We further add 24 strands so as to provide a supple rope in your hands and a smoother surface thus reduce its propensity to snag. The cover is treated to withstand UV and the harsh environments of salt water, rot, oil and mold.
